Manicure

By using our hands we reach out to the world, to people and loved ones. In doing this we fill our minds and hearts with the experiences of life. Fortunately, we can also use the human touch to accomplish daily tasks and to perform beauty rituals, a term we use to describe anything that makes you look good and feel better on a regular basis. Our spa at Compassionate Beauty is designed to encourage you to stay connected to your regular beauty rituals, especially when you simply don't have the energy to stay connected on your own.

It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart

Pedicures & Manicures

Pedicure

Chemotherapy can cause damage to the fingernails and toenails which can interfere with their appearance and growth. Keep in mind that cancer therapy will have decreased your ability to fight infections (lowered white blood cell count) and increased your susceptibility to bruising and bleeding (low platelet count). In general, all openings and cuts (ie: hangnails) are potential sources for infections or sites for bleeding.

All the 'scary stuff' does not mean you shouldn't have manicures or pedicures - it means that you should let our licensed estheticians take your worry away and do it for you. We are well informed on the necessary precautions, and we ensure that our environment is sanitized. Our implements are disposable and we have no artificial nails or acrylic dust in the centre. For your safety we have chosen a full line of elixirs and polishes that are vegan (organic) and DBP (dibutyl phthalate) free.
