Treatment can cause damage to the nail bed causing changes in growth and appearance. Some of the most commonly seen are:
• Dry and brittle nails
• Weaker, thinner nails
• The nails may start to peel
• Vertical lines, hang nails
• Ridges and cracks
• Pigmentation, usually yellow or darker

The answer is simple, yes you can have these services as long as they are preformed with the correct awareness of what is and is not allowed to someone going through treatment. Due to a decreased immune function, your body’s ability to fight infection (diminished white blood cell count) and an increase in susceptibility to bruising and bleeding, there is the need for extreme sanitation of all implements and work stations and also the knowledge that certain aspects of esthetics treatments (cutting cuticles is simply not allowed); pedi-paddling must also be gentler. At times other adjustments and precautions may be made, and it is our pleasure and expertise to adjust treatments to suit every individual journey so you can still enjoy the simple treats in life.
