Cosmetic Tattooing. Look and feel your BEST.

Eyebrow and Eyeliner Enhancement. Our newest service offering at Compassionate Beauty is cosmetic tattooing.  After seven successful years of serving thousands of breast cancer survivors we ensure that ALL their needs are being met.  We found that women were very concerned about losing their eyebrows and eyelashes and that although many attempt to pencil theirs in, most feel at a loss.  Brows are tough to get on, if they stay on at all, and a loss of lashes can make you look as sick as you feel. We are proud to have a much better solution for keeping chemotherapy and alopecia clients looking their best. Cosmetic tattooing may sound scary to the average individual especially considering its reputation for poor quality procedures in foreign countries using sub standard pigments.  The introduction of industry standards and recognized best practices mixed with artistic talent has since drastically improved the experience. Now at Compassionate Beauty you can enjoy these services while knowing it is legal, hygienic and best of all approved by your doctor.

Tattooing is done during treatment as hair is falling out without anyone knowing what you are having done. The two appointments are made about three weeks apart; the tattooed individual hairs often look better than the hair you had before treatment. The silver lining is that you will have the perfect brows you have always dreamed of long after your treatment is over. The procedure is semi-permanent meaning it’s not quite the same lifetime commitment as a body tattoo. You can expect your tattoo to last two to five years.

Areola re-pigmentation is a specialized form of medical tattooing offered at Compassionate Beauty that can enhance or create a natural looking areola. This procedure can also minimize the appearance of scars following breast reconstruction surgery.

For women who have opted for breast reconstruction surgery – implants or TRAM flap procedure – the results can no doubt help reclaim womanhood and wholeness after a difficult journey. Unfortunately the end product often lacks that final touch, a natural looking nipple-areola.

Our highly sought after micro pigmentation technician, Jody Stoski, likes to refer to this procedure as the finishing touch. Jody has been specially trained in medical tattooing and we are fortunate to have her as a member of the Compassionate Beauty team.

As a micro pigmentation client at Compassionate Beauty your first step is a consultation with Jody to discuss the perfect shape, size, location, and colour for your ideal areola. The next stage consists of two or three forty-five minute appointments, at which she will use the custom combination of pigments to tattoo the area. The first appointment will lay the foundation of the areola. The subsequent two appointments will define the nipple-areola to give a three-dimensional appearance by layering the custom pigments. The procedure requires no down-time and includes an easy-to-follow after-care procedure and medical-grade products for the healing process.

There are three techniques utilized for an areola regimentation procedure, any or a combination of the following may be used:

  1. Areola-nipple complex simulation: the technician simulates an areola-nipple complex, which may or may not overlay the tattoo “button” created by a surgeon.
  2. Scar Camouflage: to soften, blend, and reduce scar appearance on the breast or through the nipple.
  3. Size or Colour Adjustment: to enhance the areola-nipple complex following an areola graft surgery.

The appropriate time to undergo this procedure is when the scar tissue from the surgery is mature and healed. This is generally seven to twelve months following the reconstruction surgery. However, everyone has a different healing process, and the initial consultation will help clarify the right timeframe for each individual.

It is time to let women know that they have post breast surgery options. After navigating this difficult journey, go ahead: allow yourself the “finishing touch”.
